Finally booked a trip. Off to San Francisco at the end of the month. The plan is to split time pretty evenly between the city and nature.
We’ll base in Pacific Heights, check off the big city tourist spots, and then grab a rental to cross the bridge and hit Muir Woods and the Marin Headlands.
I recently got the “Gold Star & Veteran” America the Beautiful pass, so national park access and parking are free for life. My wife jokingly said that I spent thousands on a trip just so I can use a pass to save $30. She’s not far off, if I’m being honest.
Fact is, I’m restless. I hate being in one spot for too long, especially when it’s somewhere as ugly and boring as Houston. I need a change of scenery, and I’m craving natural beauty. Big trees and wild coasts will soothe my soul.
